Wind did major damage to the shoots. It was a real roller coaster vintage, warm dry December, low yielding. The wine followed the vintage rhythms and has only settled recently to reveal something quite exceptional. Wonderfully maturing nose of black currant, earth, and cigar box. The tannins are velvety smooth supporting the surprising fresh fruit concentration.
