Tasting from 18.07.2022: Victoria Daskal
A complex and balanced vintage, it required careful picking and timing. The cause was the earlier varieties that ripened later and the late varieties that ripened earlier due to late December heat and high soil moisture. Taught acidity and firm tannins give ample structure but there is a fleshy black fruit concentration that leads to a pleasing savoury finish.
