Deep dark ruby garnet with purple reflections and a lightly ochre rim. Fine oak savouriness, dark berries and nougat on the nose, underlaid with ripe cherries - an inviting bouquet. The palate is juicy and majors on fruit texture, with fine supporting tannins. The fruit shows very good length and bodes well for ageing potential as a vin de garde - although it is already accessible. Vinified with the expertise of star oenologist Zelma Long.
