The red wine »Im Eichenfass gereift« Breisach Eckartsberg Spätburgunder, vintage 2021 from the winery Badischer Winzerkeller has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Baden in Germany.
Aroma of ripe red fruit, plus smoke and vanilla, wood use noticeable, cherry comes in and some blackberry, sweet cherry. On the palate again with sweet cherry fruit, some cooked strawberry, vivid tannins, well integrated acidity, gripping, densely woven structure, has juice and power, great with braised dishes.
