The red wine Syrah Grandmaître - Barrique AOC Valais, vintage 2020 from the winery Gregor Kuonen has been rated in 2021 by Benjamin Herzog und Dominik Vombach with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Valais in Switzerland.
Intense fruit on the nose with notes of dried wild berries, dried plum, redcurrant and sour cherry. There's also some well-integrated roasted aromas with cold smoke and caramel. Dense and juicy on the palate with a ripe acidity and aromas of sour cherry, rum pot and Christmas spices. It's finely polished, with easily perceptible tannins building to a long, textured finish.
