The sparkling wine 456 Gelber Kleinberger brut, vintage 2021 from the winery Historische Rebsorten - Wein- u. Sektmanufaktur GmbH has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points.
On the nose iodine and rock dust, also yeast and oat flakes (almost like porridge). The palate is deep despite the measured alcohol content, it has an oily base and develops a fine but persistent mousse. Peppery finish aromas follow on from the fragrance.
