The red wine Collezione Privata Syrah IGT, vintage 2007 from the winery Isole e Olena has been rated in 2013 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright, intense ruby colour with a light purple hue. Slightly earthy notes at the start, then fully fledged blackberries and elderberries emerge, with cloves and pepper in the background. Juicy and with lots of fresh fruit on the palate that spreads out beautifully, opening up with polished tannins and quite amazing elegance. There's some slightly resinous notes on the finish, with full-bodied drive in the aftertaste.
