The red wine Ahrweiler Rosenthal Spätburgunder GG, vintage 2022 from the winery Jean Stodden – Das Rotweingut has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Ahr in Germany.
On the nose: lots of berries, sloe, spicy tones, clove and a little ester. The palate starts softly, then develops taut tannins, exerts a lot of drive, the acidity emerges late and remains rather restrained. Very good length with chewy tannins, working towards having potential.
