The red wine Neuenahr Sonnenberg Spätburgunder GG, vintage 2022 from the winery Jean Stodden – Das Rotweingut has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Ahr in Germany.
An almost powerful fruit pours out of the glass: blueberry, blackberry, elderberry pulp, also some dark chocolate. The palate unfolds an enormous amount of tannin, ripe, fine-grained tannins. However, this does not come across as over-extracted, the wine has the fruit, suppleness and nerve to carry it.
