The red wine Escudo de Armas, vintage 2018 from the winery Juan Gil has been rated in 2021 by Benjamin Herzog und Dominik Vombach with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah from the region Jumilla in Spain.
Concentrated fruit aromas on the nose. Notes of dried blackberry and plum as well as preserved sour cherry. Also hints of cocoa, cinnamon and grapefruit. Ripe acidity on the palate, full-bodied, elegant impression, ripe tannins and aromas of dark berries, sour cherry as well as coconut and nutty notes. Long finish.
