The red wine Chénas "Le Jugement Dernier", vintage 2013 from the winery Jules Desjourneys has been rated in 2024 by Peter Moser & Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Gamay from the region Beaujolais in France.
Aromas of cocktail cherry, forest floor, also some flint. The palate is still almost impenetrably substantial, characterised by very densely structured, fine-grained, clinging tannins. A lively acidity reinforces the impression of verticality, the final fruit is still compact and closed. A wine with a respectable, taut Burgundy-like structure.
