The red wine Lagrein Südtirol DOC, vintage 2024 from the winery Kandlerhof has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Dense purple colour with a rich dark core. Intense aroma of ripe blackberries, black elderberries and blueberries on the nose, spice paired with black pepper, eucalyptus and some violets. Rich fruit on the palate, with texture, blackberry jelly as it progresses, the tannins are well integrated and the finish is persistent.
