Sparkling, clear ruby red. Opens with pronounced spicy notes of cloves and cinnamon, then cherry and pomegranate. Full-bodied and dense in the attack and finish, opens with fine yet perceptible tannins, velvety on the palate, pulls through beautifully, then a good amount of pressure on the finish, long finish, a special Vernatsch to enjoy immediately but also to put away for a few years.
