Tasting Notes
In a region of a relatively consistent flavour profile, Diaporos is the exception, presenting a more international, familiar profile, and blending the signature variety with a bit of Syrah. It is deep, complex, and grown-up, with assertive aromas of earth, tobacco, and olive tapenade. Yet, the palate surprises pleasantly, with a smooth, silky texture reminiscent of quality Tuscan Syrah. The Xinomavro presents itself with a strong tannic grip and a hint of acidity in the background. There is measured fruit, but this is a texture-driven wine. The aftertaste is fascinating, smooth, light, and inviting another sip. (Drink 2022-2026)
