The red wine Achelo Cortona DOC, vintage 2021 from the winery La Braccesca has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dark, rich ruby red with a drop of purple and delicately brightening rim. On the nose some incense, cold cherry compote, a touch of underbrush, smoke, blackberries. Shows nice fruit and fruit expression on the palate, plus fine use of wood, spicy, with subtle toasted flavours, gluggable and accessible.
