The red wine Magdalena, vintage 2022 from the winery La Madeleine – André Fontannaz et filles has been rated in 2025 by Benjamin Herzog und Dominik Vombach with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Valais in Switzerland.
Intense fruit, cherry, dark berries, especially elderberries, plus plum and roasted nuances as well as warm spices such as cinnamon. Medium-bodied on the palate, beautiful smoothness, ripe acidity, again dark fruit. Fine, chalky tannins, long finish.
