The red wine Chianti Classico DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery La Sala del Torriano has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dark, rich ruby. Opens with notes of ripe raspberries and cherries, with a hint of varnish in the background. Round and vivid at the start, but shows quite raw, still poorly integrated tannins in the mid-palate, drying.
