The red wine Morgon "Les Impénitents" Côte du Py, vintage 2022 from the winery Louis Claude Desvignes has been rated in 2024 by Peter Moser & Ulrich Sautter with 94+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Gamay from the region Beaujolais in France.
On the nose, black cherry, a hint of dark chocolate, red currant and iron-mineral aromas. On the palate, the wine has a high intensity that goes hand in hand with the finesse, a beautiful savouriness and mineral layers. An understated, self-contained wine that appears harmonious now, but will develop great complexity in a few years.
