The red wine Montefalco Rosso DOC, vintage 2018 from the winery Lungarotti has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot, Sagrantino from the region Umbria in Italy.
Dark ruby red with purple. Notes of fine oak on the nose, then rich cherry and plum, reminiscent of dried blood orange in the finish, elegant aromas of pepper and curry round off the bouquet. Beautiful notes of chocolate on the palate, a tightly woven dress, balanced and coherent, gripping and juicy on the finish.
