The red wine Châteauneuf-du-Pape AOC Vieilles Vignes, vintage 2016 from the winery Maison Tardieu-Laurent has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre from the region Côtes du Rhône in France.
Rum steeped fruit on the nose, sour cherry and leather. Supple base, very dense with fine-grained tannin, juicy acidity, vivid palate fruit and almost sweet on the palate with strong alcohol. Already approachable, but will benefit significantly from bottle age.
