The red wine Cassiano Dolomiti IGT, vintage 2012 from the winery Manincor has been rated in 2015 by Othmar Kiem with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Tempranillo, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Brilliant, rich ruby red in colour. An intense and fragrant nose, initially shows notes of cardamom and white pepper, then lots of juicy berry fruit that is vivid and clear. The palate has a great balance between savoury spice and saline character, and deep, juicy fruit. Dense, lively tannins help this spread widely.
