The red wine Cassiano Rot Weinberg Dolomiten IGT, vintage 2019 from the winery Manincor has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Tempranillo from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
It has a dark shimmering ruby colour with a slight purple touch. There are pleasant aroma notes of roasted almonds and toasted bread crust, plus dark wild berry fruits and a hint of cardamom. It unfolds beautifully over the tongue, is full-bodied, with velvety embedded tannins and a discreet fruit texture. It builds up in layers, presses again on the palate on the finish, and is a very harmonious wine.
