Deep brick red, good, dark, almost opaque color core, delicate ochre rim. Extremely suggestive on the nose, roasted plums and honey, but also plenty of fresh fruit notes, figs, delicate floral nuances in the direction of hibiscus. Extremely fresh on the palate, wonderful chocolaty extract sweetness, perfect tannins, delicate nougat, subtle nutty hints, delicate hints of dried fruit, slims down again to an elegant food companion, has a finish that lasts for minutes, wonderful chocolaty wood spice in the aftertaste, as one knows it from a great sweet old sherry, without being astringent or dry. For all its volume, this is a wine that can easily be said to be a pleasure to drink. Great wine.
