The red wine Chianti Classico DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Montecalvi has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Canaiolo nero, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Brilliant ruby. Opens with fine savoury notes of crisp, fresh cherry and some cloves, cranberry in the background. Grippy, fine-meshed tannins, develops firm drive over the course, with a fresh meaty finish.
