The red wine San Piero Toscana IGT, vintage 2012 from the winery Montecalvi has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 87 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Alicante Bouschet from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Intense, dark garnet red colour. Shows rich notes of plums, some lilies, earthy on the nose. Dense, grippy tannins on the palate, builds up well at the front, with clear brett notes on the finish.
