The red wine Chianti Classico DOCG, vintage 2017 from the winery Montecalvi has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Canaiolo nero, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby with garnet rim. Very fragrant and memorable nose of dried tomatoes, dark cherries and rosehip. Fine savouriness on the palate, grippy, dense tannin, then on the finish unfortunately a little bready note and drying.
