Impenetrable ruby with a black core. Appealing nose, initially smells of mint, then juicy dark currant and blackberry, some cedar wood in the background. Very full on the palate, dark berry fruit paired with dark chocolate, grippy tannins, somewhat rough on the finish.
More about the tastingRich, dark ruby with a slight purple tinge. Appealing and intense nose, opens with notes of eucalyptus and cedar, then lots of dark berryish fruit, some dark chocolate in the background. Grippy tannin characterises the course, in addition dark berryish fruit, shows firm grip, then becomes a bit brittle in the finish, would benefit from more bottle age.
