The red wine Anticus Merlot Cabernet Riserva Südtirol DOC, vintage 2019 from the winery Nals Margreid has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Blanc from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Bright ruby with a garnet-red rim. Fragrant and open-hearted with ripe blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, as well as clove and some dark chocolate on the finish. Firm tannins that still need time, but with plenty of certain ageing potential, precise fruit and beautiful drive, with fine savouriness on the long finish.
