The white wine »Réserve Alte Reben« Wolfsheim Am Holzweg Chardonnay trocken, vintage 2016 from the winery Neverland Vineyards has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Intense golden yellow in the glass, showing both wood and bottle maturation. It's surprisingly subtle on the nose, with some slightly lactic notes, ripe lemon, fennel and ginger. On the palate there's simultaneously generous ripeness and a firmly integrated, vivid acidity. Some caramel and savoury notes emerge towards the back end. A Californian style, excellently done..
