The red wine »Hipperia«, vintage 2020 from the winery Pago de Vallegarcía has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot from the region Castile-La Mancha in Spain.
Dark ruby colour with slight brightening on the rim. On the nose, a ripe fruit of cherry, black currant and blueberry joins the vivid new oak. On the palate the wine flows round and smooth, with fine tannic grain on an oily base, quite ripe in tannins, but also bold in alcohol, and therefore somewhat dry on the finish.
