The red wine Skala Venezia Giulia IGT, vintage 2018 from the winery Paraschos has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Friuli-Venezia Giulia in Italy.
Brightening ruby red. Subtle hints of cinnamon stick, black tea, candle wax, plus fine notes of red berries, cranberries, sour cherries, burnt sage in the aftertaste. Very fresh on the palate with considerable acidity, pithy, grippy tannins, then unfortunately becomes somewhat vegetal at the back and lingers with a slight dryness. Has an independent character.
