The red wine Long Now Langhe Rosso DOC, vintage 2006 from the winery Pelissero has been rated in 2013 by Axel Biesler und Marco Lindauer with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Barbera, Nebbiolo from the region Langhe in Italy.
The name says it all: tobacco, leather, black cherry, blackcurrant, earthy, herbs, multi-layered, animalistic, great certain ageing potential - a wine that can stand on its own, but also goes well with a Cohiba, good complexity, would also go well with game. Nebbiolo and Barbera vinified to perfection, a very great, multi-faceted wine.
