The red wine Petra, vintage 2013 from the winery Petra has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby with a fine purple shimmer. Opens on the nose with pronounced spicy notes of rosemary and cardamom, followed by rich, ripe dark cherries and currants, some cinnamon. Polished and balanced palate, initially shows beautiful, precise fruit, then opens with a lot of finely meshed, grippy tannin, builds up to a very long finish.
