The red wine Galatrona Toscana IGT, vintage 2017 from the winery Petrolo has been rated in 2020 by Simon Staffler, Othmar Kiem with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich, deep dark ruby with violet core. Very intense and appealing nose of ripe blackberry, blueberry and behind it fine spicy components, lots of tobacco. A lot of fine-meshed tannin on the palate, builds up well, rich, dark berry fruit, but lacks the otherwise characteristic texture.
