The red wine Galatrona IGT, vintage 2015 from the winery Petrolo has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich dark ruby, almost black at the core. Seductive nose, lush blackberry, purple and cassis, fine cedar savouriness in the background cardamom. On the palate very juicy, shows a lot of vivid fruit, seems at first almost too smooth, then opens up in the back palate with a lot of vivid, finely meshed tannin, builds up into many layers, a wine from which you always want more!.
