Tasting Notes
Subtle complex and suggestive bouquet: noble woods, cinnamon and nails, mulberries, dark chocolate, sorrel, verbena. Very finely resolved yet punchy on the palate, nervy underlying fine-grained tannin, mineral accompanied, chewy yet fine. Original Merlot with expression, character and certain ageing potential.
More about the tastingBrilliant, intense ruby with a fine purple sheen. Opens on the nose with fine notes of dark chocolate and cinnamon, complemented by notes of blackberry and blackcurrant, multi-layered. Lots of juicy fruit on the attack, then unfolds with wonderfully fine-meshed tannins, opens up in many layers, salty, long finish with intense notes of blackberry, firm drive.
