Bright ruby with a fine garnet sheen. Memorable nose with notes of tobacco, some smoke, lots of dark berries, cassis and blackberry, backed by a mix of spices. Very juicy on the palate, lots of ripe berry fruit, then opens up with gripping, dense tannins, still a little brittle on the finish.
