The red wine Der Pfannenstiel St. Magdalener Classico Südtirol DOC, vintage 2015 from the winery Pfannenstielhof has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Vernatsch, Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
It has a sublime shining ruby red colour. There are aromas of fresh strawberry and watermelon on the nose, with a light savouriness, and some wild berry on the finish. It is very elegant on the palate, polished and full of finesse, with velvety tannins, a saltiness on the tongue, and it lingers for a long time with good persistence.
