The red wine Sugarille Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2019 from the winery Pieve Santa Restituta has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby red with a subtly brighter rim. Shy nose, albeit elegant: some blood orange, cinnamon and notes of mint tea in the aftertaste. Very elegant on the palate with polished, tightly woven tannins, a juicy core and clear fruit. Opens slowly but in many layers – great finish.
