The white wine Piodilei Chardonnay DOC, vintage 2015 from the winery Pio Cesare has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Brilliant straw yellow with green nuances. It has a vivid and memorable nose, initially with aromas of flint and pear, then fresh pineapple, and some sage. On the palate it is powerful and creamy, also showing plenty of pineapple, and some chestnut. It is juicy and distinct, with a fresh well-integrated acidity that adds a liveliness, and it is a very honest wine that has good length.
