The red wine Guardiavigna Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2017 from the winery Podere Forte has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Cabernet Franc
Brilliant, rich ruby in colour with a fine purple sheen. A fleshy and intense nose opens with notes of violets, then lots of dark currants and cherries. There's plenty of firm, very well-integrated tannins on the palate which opens up in many layers with lashings of crisp fruit and firm drive on the finish.
