Tasting Notes
Bright ruby with a slightly brightening garnet rim. Finely drawn nose, characterised by aromas of blackberries, wild raspberries and roses. Well-defined fruit on the palate, but the grippy tannins still dominate in the finish, which is somewhat brittle.
More about the tastingIt has a brilliant rich ruby colour, and a bright rim. There is a very intense and appealing nose of dark cherry and blackberry flavours, underpinned by smoky mineral components. On the palate it has hearty and grippy tannins, and it is full-bodied and gripping, and it should continue to mature for a few more years.
