The red wine Petruccino Orcia DOC, vintage 2018 from the winery Podere Forte has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese
It has a vivid ruby red colour. It is expressive on the nose, with aromas of strawberry, a fine oakiness, red berryish fruit, white chocolate, and a hint of pepper spiciness on the finish. It is very juicy on the palate, with plenty of drive, opening with a salty minerality, and it has a beautiful tension. It will benefit from a some further ageing.
