The red wine Barbaresco Riserva Basarin DOCG, vintage 2011 from the winery Punset has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Sparkling ruby with a fine garnet rim. Opens with slightly spicy notes of laurel, then fine cherry, orange peel in the background. Firm, pithy tannin on the palate, builds up in many layers, lots of dark fruit with a fine sweet melt, salty and profound.
