Dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, subtle edge brightening. Fragrant, a hint of vanilla, ripe black cherries, a hint of black truffles, smoky nuances. Taut, lively, dark minerality that is almost a little bitter, the cherry fruit is somewhat concealed, slightly astringent nuances, dries out on the finish, almost metallic. Introverted wine from a very cool vintage, needs time.
