The red wine Chianti Classico DOCG, vintage 2018 from the winery Quercia al Poggio has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
This has a bright elegant ruby red colour. A powerful nose has aromas of ripe cherry and plum, and delicate violet blossom, it has a beautiful precision. On the palate there is a racy acidity and vivid freshness, with firm compact tannins, and red berry fruit. It would be a good match for hearty dishes.
