The red wine Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, vintage 2018 from the winery Quercia al Poggio has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese
Bright ruby red. On the nose there are notes of ripe blood orange, wild strawberry, pomegranate juice, in addition generous, bright spicy note as well as delicate hints of marzipan. On the palate juicy, clear, with salty undertones and exciting nerve, in the background currently still a little drying tannin.
