The red wine Vinha da Ponte, vintage 2016 from the winery Quinta do Crasto has been rated in 2021 by Peter Moser with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Douro in Portugal.
Dark ruby garnet colour with opaque core, purple reflections, delicate brightening on the rim. Subtle notes of mint and rosemary, black forest berries, ripe cherries, fine nougat and a hint of precious wood. Juicy, elegant, fine fruitiness, silky tannins, chocolaty finish, lingers for minutes, full of finesse and with enormous ageing potential.
