The sparkling wine Recaredo Turó d’en Mota Brut Nature, vintage 2007 from the winery Recaredo has been rated in 2022 by Fintan Kerr with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Xarel-lo from the region Catalunya in Spain.
This is really special and an incredible testament to the strength of old-vine Xarel·lo. Smoky and herbal on the nose, with the wonderfully evocative aromas of fennel, wild herbs and orchard fruits slowly unfolding with time in the glass. Coiled power on the palate, with the sort of effortless persistence that defines the great wines of the world. A moving bottle of wine and still so young.
