The red wine Baffonero Maremma Toscana DOC, vintage 2017 from the winery Rocca di Frassinello has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Radiant ruby with a rich garnet rim. Very open and accessible nose of ripe blackberries, plums, and some dried porcini mushrooms. Generously smooth on the palate, lots of ripe berries, displaying ample dense tannins, radiates calmly, a little harsh on the finish.
